Altona is well situated to service the central United States and Canadian markets. The town is located 100km south of Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba, which places it along the Mid-Continental Trade Corridor, 10km north of the U.S.A. border. We are only a one-hour drive away from Winnipeg and Grand Forks, ND. Just far enough to enjoy quiet small-town living while taking advantage of city resources.
Altona is a major service centre in Southern Manitoba for approximately 14,000 rural and urban residents. Located in the heart of the prosperous Pembina Valley our community is surrounded by several other thriving towns.
Altona and the surrounding district have a motivated, well-educated and expanding workforce that can meet the requirements of most businesses. There are vocational programs offered to students through the Rhineland School Division and Red River College.
