The Millennium Exhibition Centre (MEC) is a new, state of the art, 75,000 sq. ft. multi-use recreation facility. Its main features are an 85 x 200 sq. ft. ice surface arena with seating for over 700, a running/walking track on the mezzanine, and short court facility. The four-sheet curling rink has both ice level and second level viewing and includes a lounge. The centre has meeting rooms, concession areas, kitchen facilities, and can seat over 400 for banquets.

The MEC, with its various venues, is the central gathering place for the community and hosts many events such as hockey tournaments, curling bonspiels, banquets, socials, weddings, recreation programs, meetings, impromptu gatherings, craft facilities, and a place to get together with friends and family. It can also accommodate large trade shows and conventions.

Recreation Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Hours of operation for the Millennium Exhibition center from April to September are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, and October to March are 7 days a week from 7 am to midnight.

The Rhineland Pioneer Centre is a facility adjacent to the MEC, perfect for weddings, socials, banquets and meetings.  It features a full-service kitchen and bar, banquet seating for 400 people and presentation seating for 850 people.  Renovated in 2005/2006, it is very attractive and well-suited for all types of functions.
