Request For Proposal

The Town of Altona invites vendors to submit proposals for the complete development of a new playground in the Altona Centennial Park. Submissions should include the following:

- The playground should have a "Farm Theme" (Altona Town Council has approved in principle this concept)
- Be handicapped accessible
- Have earth tone color schemes
- Be targeted for 2 - 12 year olds
- Tractor and barn components
- Large decks and ramping
- Large shade structures
- Sponsorship recognition opportunities
- A minimum of three slides
- Musical play components (interactive)
- Two and four seat see-saws or variations thereof
- Sway-fun glider or similar apparatus
- Climbing rock(s)
- Perimeter barrier to keep fall surface materials in place
- Engineered fall surfacing
- Minimum six inches excavation for base materials
- Site drainage plan
- Clearly defined exit and entry points
- Do not include swings
- Area to be utilized is approximately 6,00 square feet (including an area for swings)
- Pricing to include all equipment, materials, installation and taxes
- Any or all proposals may or may not be accepted

Deadline to submit proposals is March 31, 2010
