Council Meetings

The Altona Town Council meets the second & fourth Tuesday of each month. Session begins at 5:30 p.m. We welcome individuals to attend meetings and should there be some that would like to make a presentation or request to Council is asked to contact the Secretary-Treasurer Larry Driedger at (204) 324-6468 to receive a guideline and to schedule a time on Council’s agenda.

Committee Meetings

All Committee Meetings and Council Meetings are open to the public, to attend as an audience only. If you wish to speak or you have an item to put on the agenda, you need to send in your request to the Administration office one week prior to the Meeting Date.

There are three types of Committee Meetings every month. Three representatives from Council serve on each of the committees. This is where items are discussed in detail and a decision is made to forward to  the next Council Meeting. The Mayor of Altona attends all of the three standing committees as well as a number of the sub committees.

All Council and Committee meetings are open meetings to the public, unless you wish to attend as a delegate, all delegations are asked to contact the Secretary-Treasurer Larry Driedger at (204) 324-6468.
