The Altona Community Development Corporation was established in 1997 to promote economic growth, job creation and an enhanced quality of life in the Town of Altona. Town Council of the day believed that an independent body of elected officials and businessmen could more effectively develop and implement a broad range of incentives to promote the continued growth and expansion of the local economy. The following development objectives were agreed to and prioritized by the Corporation.
A progressive community that has retained old-fashioned values, the Town of Altona has approximately 3,400 residents and is located in South Central Manitoba. Expanding, diversified agricultural and manufacturing sectors, coupled with a well trained, industrious labour force has made this region one of fastest growing in the province.
There is a well-developed Industrial Park with a selection of different sized and zoned lots available at very reasonable cost.
