Exhibition Centre Hours:

Recreation office:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

MEC/Sunflower Gardens Arena:

• April through September: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
• October through March: Seven days a week, 7:00am to 12:00 midnight.

Exhibition Centre Fees:

Community Centre:

Elks Room

• $50.00 minimum (up to four hours maximum)
• $80.00 (four hours up to one full day)

Craft/Meeting Room

• $75.00 minimum (up to four hours maximum)
• $125.00 (four hours up to one full day)

Community Centre Hall/Lobby

• Standard rate of $200.00 per single day event

Second Story Space

• Smaller south section, Standard rate of $25.00 per single day event
• Larger middle section, Standard rate of $50.00 per single day event
• Second Story Space complete, Standard rate of $65.00 per single day event

Second Story Running/Walking Track & Fitness Area

• Monday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Sundays from 1:00pm - 11:00pm
• The Track/Fitness area is open for walking/jogging/etc. during the above hours.
• Fees are: $10/month, $50/6 months, $90/12 months, $1/drop-in fee, Couples running track pass, $17/month

Short Court

• Rental is $5.00 per hour per racquet and 3 balls
• Monthly pass - $15 per person.
• Monthly couples pass - $25 per couple.
• Users have access to arena dressing room showers, provided it does not conflict with arena users. Arena users have first priority usage of the dressing room showers

Shuffleboard/Floor Curling/Carpet Bowling

• Rental is $10.00 per hour for one complete set of equipment
• A monthly rate of $20 per person is also available.

Sunflower Gardens Ice Rates: (2007/2008)

Public skating admission is free, courtesy of the generous sponsorship of
the following local businesses and organizations:

• Altona Elks B.P.O.E. # 447
• Derksen Trucking Ltd.
• Loewen Insurance Brokers Ltd.
• Winners Circle Automotive Ltd.

User groups rentals fees (GST included) as follows;

• Figure Skating/Minor Hockey/Minor Groups $60.00/hour
• Maroon Old Timers/Adult Rec. Leagues $100.00/hour
• Miller Aces practices and games $95.00/hour
• Altona Maroons practices $115.00/hour
• Altona Maroons games $136.00/hour
• Occasional rentals $100.00/hour
• Adult Shinny $6/participant

Weekday ice time rentals before 9:00am will receive 25% off of regular rates

Ice-out season:

• $315.00/day plus GST for rental of the ice arena area
• $35/day plus GST for rental of the parking lot for car washes

Curling Arena:

Ice-in season:

• $175.00/Day plus GST for rental of curling ice arena area

If both arenas are rented by the same party, a combined rate of $350.00/day plus GST shall be charged.

The indoor portions of the curling rink rates will be as follows (April through September-non-ice season):

Main floor (indoors):

• Standard rate of $50.00 per single day event

Second story lounge/hall:

• General Meetings: $100
• Rental Fees with liquor permits (no sit-down meals) Standard rate of $275.00 per single day event plus corkage fees.
• Rental Fees for sit-down meals Standard rate of $325.00 per single day event plus corkage fees.

Rhineland Pioneer Centre:

• General meetings and other functions with no meal service in the main hall, Minimum charge of $300.00.
• Social Event Rental Fees with liquor permits (no sit-down meals) Standard rate of $450.00 plus corkage fees.

Meetings With No Meal Service

• $300/up to 100 people
• $400/100 - 200 people
• $525/200 - 400 people
• $600/over 400 people

Dinner Meetings:

• $350/up to 100 people
• $500/100 - 200 people
• $600/200 - 400 people
• $700/over 400 people

Meeting Room:

• $50.00 minimum (up to four hours maximum)
• $80.00 (four hours up to one full day)

Stage Bookings:

• $75.00 minimum (up to four hours maximum)
• $125.00 (four hours up to one full day)
